The Volksvlijt Palace, a large glass exhibition hall inspired by London's Crystal Palace, stood on Amsterdam's Frederiksplein, the current site of the Dutch National Bank. Built between 1859 and 1864 by architect Cornelis Outshoorn, it was destroyed by fire in 1929.
