Yesterday, Los Angeles City Councilwoman Ruth Galanter led over 200 volunteers and teens from 17 community groups, including participants in the city's summer youth employment program, in a graffiti cleanup effort on the Venice Beach boardwalk. Galanter launched the "Venice Community Vision" initiative, stating, "Ocean Front Walk is like the living room of Venice." (July 22, 1988, approximate location).
