Designed by Karel de Bazel and completed posthumously in 1926, the De Bazel building originally served as the headquarters for the Netherlands Trading Society. Following a merger in 1964, it became a branch of the Algemene Bank Nederland. Since undergoing extensive renovations in 2007, it has housed the Amsterdam City Archives and boasts a remarkable interior.
