
Los Angeles City Hall, a stately building at 200 North Spring Street, blends classical and Ziggurat influences. Its concrete tower incorporates sand from all 50 California counties and water from its 21 missions. From its 1928 completion until 1964, this 450-foot, 28-story structure held the title of California's tallest building.
