The nave of the chapel, built against a sandstone cliff face, was demolished in 1977, leaving only the rock-hewn presbytery standing. Built as a simple pseudo-Romanesque chapel after 1800 on the site of a former hermitage, it was located at a scenic viewpoint about half a kilometer south of the settlement.
