Mírkov, Chapel of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary, 1975

The nave of the chapel, built in front of a sandstone cliff with its rear section carved into the rock, was demolished in 1977, leaving only the rock-hewn presbytery standing. The tower was destroyed earlier, in 1975. The furnishings were destroyed by soldiers prior to the demolition. A pile of rubble remains where the nave once stood, with only a small section of the front left corner still visible.
