Mírkov, Chapel of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary, 1909
The nave of the chapel, built against a sandstone cliff, was demolished in 1977, leaving only the rock-hewn presbytery. The chapel, a single-nave pseudo-Romanesque structure, was built after 1800 on the site of a former hermitage at a scenic location. The tower was destroyed in 1975. The furnishings were destroyed by soldiers working on the nearby road before the demolition. A pile of rubble remains where the nave stood.
