Mírkov, chapel of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary, chapel facade, 1975


The nave of the chapel, built in front of a sandstone cliff with its rear partially carved into the rock, was demolished in 1977 after its tower was destroyed in 1975. The rock-hewn presbytery remains. This pseudo-Romanesque, single-nave chapel, built around 1800 on the site of a former hermitage, was located at a scenic viewpoint about half a kilometer south of the settlement.
