Mírkov, chapel of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary, chapel facade, 1975

The nave of the chapel, built against a sandstone cliff face, was demolished in 1977, leaving only a rock-hewn presbytery and a pile of rubble. The tower had been destroyed earlier, in 1975. The chapel, built after 1800 on the site of a former hermitage, was located at a scenic viewpoint about half a kilometer south of the settlement.
