The nave of the chapel, built in front of a sandstone cliff with its rear section carved into the rock, was demolished in 1977. The rock-hewn presbytery remains, with some later additions to the stonework. This pseudo-Romanesque, single-nave chapel was built after 1800 on the site of a hermitage, in a beautiful location about half a kilometer south of the settlement. The furnishings, contemporary with the construction, were destroyed by soldiers repairing the nearby road before the demolition.. Read more »
