Mírkov, Chapel of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary, 1975


The nave of the chapel, built in front of a sandstone cliff with its rear section carved into the rock, was demolished in 1977. The rock-hewn presbytery remains. Built after 1800 on the site of a hermitage as a single-nave pseudo-Romanesque chapel in a scenic location about half a kilometer south of the settlement, the chapel's tower was destroyed in 1975, and the nave followed two years later.
