The nave of the chapel, built in front of a sandstone cliff with its rear section carved into the rock, was demolished in 1977 after its tower was destroyed in 1975. The rock-hewn presbytery remains, with some later additions to its stonework. The chapel, a single-nave pseudo-Romanesque structure, was built after 1800 on the site of a former hermitage, at a scenic location about half a kilometer south of the settlement.
