The Jewish cemetery, established in 1872 and used until 1965 (approximately 6,000 burials), was gradually liquidated from 1983. After 1988, the ceremonial hall (designed by Viennese architect R. Strassmann) was also demolished. Dr. Milada Horáková Park now occupies the site.
