The photo, taken from a high-rise building on Boat Quay, shows Cavenagh Bridge in the foreground, Anderson Bridge behind it, and Padang field in the distance. The Esplanade is to the right of Padang, and St Andrew's Cathedral to the left. Victoria Memorial Hall and its clock tower are visible in the mid-ground on the left. The absence of the Supreme Court's dome suggests the photo predates 1939.
