A late Gothic monastery church of the White Magdalenes, an Augustinian order, was built in the late 15th century. Destroyed by fire in 1515 and reconsecrated later that year, it was rebuilt in 1774 following damage from a 1769 fire. The order was dissolved in 1782, and the Piarists occupied the complex until 1876.
