The Sultan of Johor's Singapore residence, located adjacent to the west side of the Botanic Gardens, between Holland and Tyersall Roads, was a luxurious Victorian eclectic style palace built in 1892 by Sultan Abu Bakar. Destroyed by an electrical fire on September 10, 1905, it was never rebuilt.
