Utrechtsestraat, 1967, 1967

Netherlands
Amsterdam, North Holland
utrechtsestraat-1967

Utrechtsestraat, a bustling shopping street in Amsterdam, dates back to the city's 1658 expansion. Named for its route leading from Reguliersbreestraat towards Utrecht's gate, it runs between Rembrandtplein and Frederiksplein, crossing the Herengracht, Keizersgracht, and Prinsengracht canals. Horse-drawn trams operated on a single track with passing points on the canal bridges starting in 1877. Electric trams replaced them in 1904.
