Bridge, Church of St. Lawrence and St. Francis Seraphim, choir and organ, 1970


Originally a Baroque monastery church, this single-nave, oriented building featured a narrow nave and an elongated, pentagonal presbytery. Both were vaulted and decorated with 18th- and 19th-century frescoes by J. V. Tschöpper and F. J. Duchoslav, respectively. Much of the 18th-century Baroque furniture was crafted by J. A. Dietz, F. M. Vogt, Ignatz Raab, and the marble mason Martin Hennevogel. A west-end gallery housed a late 17th-century organ. Repairs were documented after a 1639 fire. By .. Read more »
