
My great-great-grandfather, Ivan-Anton Velichko, made several prints of Kyiv, mostly in black and white. He experimented with colored glass and magnifying lenses during the photographic process and later hand-colored and retouched the prints. He created homemade postcards which he sent to friends and acquaintances.
