The photos were taken during the 27-year-old actress’s visit to the Canadian province of Alberta. The photographs were taken in 1953, when photographer John Vachon, commissioned by LOOK magazine, photographed Monroe in Canada on the set of the film “The River Doesn’t Flow Backward.” However, only three photographs were selected for the magazine.
